“On the way to Europe” – Interactive migration workshop and discussion with a member of the European Parliament in Mersch, Luxembourg

On 25 and 27 March 2026, the Luxembourg Contact Point of the EMN and the Liaison Office of the European Parliament in Luxembourg hosted the third edition of their new interactive workshop format on migration policy “On the Way to Europe”.

On 25 March 2026, during the first part of the workshop, 20 students from the Lycée pour professions éducatives et sociales (LTPES) in Mersch, Luxembourg, participated in an interactive Destination Europe session, experiencing the challenges and opportunities of migration and integration policymaking.

During the second part of the workshop on 27 March 2026, students had the opportunity to discuss their experiences with Tilly Metz, Luxembourgish Member of the European Parliament. During this exchange, the students first engaged in a debrief of the activity, followed by a dialogue with Ms. Metz on European migration policy, democratic values and the daily life of an MEP in Brussels and Strasbourg.
