42nd edition of the Festival of Migration, Culture and Citizenship in Luxembourg City

On 15 and 16 March 2025, EMN Luxembourg had the pleasure of presenting the educational learning tool Destination Europe at the 42nd Festival of Migration, Culture and Citizenship (Festival des Migrations, des Cultures et de la Citoyenneté) organised by CLAE Luxembourg at LuxExpo in Luxembourg City.

While our national partner CEFIS introduced their new study on political participation of foreigners in Luxembourg and gave information on the country’s population diversity, EMN Luxembourg presented Destination Europe, an interactive learning tool based on role-play that stimulates nuanced discussion about migration and integration challenges and opportunities.

We would like to thank CEFIS for giving us the opportunity to be part of their stand and are looking forward to the 2026 edition of the Festival of Migration.

Festival of Migration, Culture and Citizenship

Since it was first held in 2007, the festival’s scope has grown tremendously. While historically showcasing Italian, Portuguese, Cape Verdean and Spanish communities, the festival now includes associations from all over the world. The 42nd edition of the festival brought together over 400 stands from the culinary and art world, while also including organisations, municipalities, political parties and other actors involved in migration and living together.
