On 24 October 2024, the non-profit organization Generation for Change CY hosted an engaging and insightful workshop for 36 teachers from across Cyprus. The workshop focused on the complexities of migration and how decisions by EU, national and local stakeholders directly impact the lives, safety and living conditions of migrants. To explore these vital issues, Generation for Change CY used the educational learning tool Destination Europe.
The organization of the session was supported by the Pedagogical Institue of Cyprus, including Dr. Elena Hadjikakou and Dr. Elena Papamichael, and by the European Migration Network Cyprus. Generation for Change CY is grateful for their support and also wants to thank the dedicated teachers for their active participation.
Looking ahead, the organization has planned additional workshops for both teachers and students from public and private institutions. Generation for Change CY is excited to explore further collaborations with schools and other entities to address topics of racism, discrimination and inclusion, particularly as they relate to migrants and refugees.

Representation Matters!
During the workshop, the Representation Matters! booklet, created with support from the European Network Against Racism (ENAR) and the ENAR foundation, was disseminated. The booklet encourages children to appreciate and respect diversity through inclusive literature, media and toys.
