Master’s students at the College of Europe Natolin in Warsaw, Poland debate migration policies

On 27 March 2026, EMN Luxembourg organised an interactive session on migration, integration and asylum for master’s students at the College of Europe Natolin in Warsaw.

The group of participants consisted of students from various countries who are studying subjects including law, international relations, European studies, social sciences and political science.

In the first part of the workshop, EMN Luxembourg presented the structure of the network and its various activities at both national and European level. In a second step, students were introduced to the Destination Europe learning tool.

Students first discussed the aspirations and hopes of three different migrant personas, as well as public opinion on migration and asylum in Europe. They then took on the roles of various stakeholders at European, national and local levels, debated migration policy, attempted to find compromises, and finally developed solutions whilst balancing conflicting interests.

In a final step, students were asked to provide feedback on the learning tool and the workshop in general. They showed interest in the tool’s development process, contributed ideas for expanding the role-playing activity, and discussed the implementation of Destination Europe for different target audiences.

Student feedback
"Good experience, I would recommend it if you want to debate about controversial topics related to migration at the three levels: EU, national and local."

"I think it was very important to be critical about not only the game but also its different groups of players."
