European migration policy is at the heart of current debates, and the decisions made by national and European actors have a direct impact on our societies. What do political decisions mean for the lives of migrants and the European public? What challenges and opportunities does migration bring?
The Luxembourg Contact Point of the European Migration Network (EMN) and the Liaison Office of the European Parliament in Luxembourg invite school classes to the interactive workshop on migration policy “On the Way to Europe”.
1. Part: Interactive Destination Europe session
In the first part of the workshop, students will experience the role-playing tool “Destination Europe,” developed by the EMN. They will take on the roles of various actors and, through concrete case studies, experience the challenges and opportunities of migration and integration. This playful approach raises awareness among the students and introduces them to the complexities of decision-making.
2. Part: Discussion with MEPs
In the second part of the workshop, the class will share their impressions with two Luxembourgish Members of the European Parliament. This exchange gives students the opportunity to discuss their experiences and questions about European migration policy with policymakers and to learn more about the work of the European Parliament.
