EMN France hosts workshops during the 1st edition of the “Diplomacy Factory” in Paris

On 05 and 06 September 2025, EMN France attended the first edition of the “Diplomacy Factory” (Fabrique de la diplomatie) at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris to present Destination Europe.

This event, which was open to all and counted 20.000 total visitors, brought together all stakeholders involved in France’s international action with the aim of promoting the missions and professions of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEAE).

This two-day event presented a unique opportunity for EMN France to introduce the “Destination Europe” learning tool to numerous visitors, including to 100 people who actively participated across 8 dedicated workshops. During these sessions, political decisions on migration and asylum at the European level were discussed and the potential impacts on different types of migrants were illustrated.

During the introductory part of the sessions, participants were able to test their knowledge by answering questions on key asylum and migration figures in the EU+. After learning about various statistics on migration, participants were able to put this new information to use in a role-playing setting where migration at the European level was explored in greater detail using the Destination Europe educational tool.

Feedback from participants

“Good game, the questions were clear and the organisers were very helpful in providing additional information. This educational game is a good way to raise awareness among younger generations about migration issues.”

“It was very good. I would like to play it again in the future.”
