"How to address Europe in the classroom"
On 25 February, EMN Germany presented “Destination Europe” at a training event for teachers in Nuremberg on “How to address Europe in the classroom”. The training was organised by EUROPE DIRECT Nuremberg and the Institute for Pedagogy and School Psychology Nuremberg (IPSN).
Migration policy was a dominant issue in both the European and German election campaigns. Currently, discussions on Europe and the European Union typically do not end without debating the topic of migration. Teachers face the challenge of addressing this sensitive and complex issue in the classroom. Attendees of the dedicated training were thus very interested in the Destination Europe learning tool, which was presented by EMN Germany in the context of a World Café.
The feedback from the teachers was very positive, with some wanting to try the learning tool out in their classes immediately. Important for them was the fact that the tool can be played in 90 minutes with relatively little effort while simultaneously offering many points of reference.
